OUR FRIENDS & PARTNER ORGANISATIONS:
DEBORAH JAMES

Deborah is 20 years old & works with Operation Mobilisation in Madagascar where she will be pioneering the Children’s ministry.  She is the only non-Madagascan on the team and will be

looking to not just run a single children’s work but to set up structures for children’s work on a larger scale, across a number of churches. She will be training workers from Madagascar with
the aim being to create a sustainable work run by the Malagasy people.  Deborah is currently learning the local language & customs so she can work with local Churches & integrate with
        they communities they serve.

HOPE & SONG TO FREEDOM

Hope and Song to Freedom (UK) and Esperanza y Canto a la Libertad (Peru) is a partnership that started in 2004. Its roots stem from a ladies’ fellowship group in a prison. Many of the ladies who meet there have been there for many years, on false charges of terrorism, dating back to the dark days of Fujimori’s regime. They have suffered human rights abuses and now they are serving lengthy sentences for crimes they didn’t commit.

Initially a group of prisoners met together to share fellowship and carry out evangelism; it has now developed to support these women, their families outside the prison and help those who are released to reintegrate into society.
